We are mandated to ask you if you have experienced any of the symptoms of COVID-19 within 24 hours prior to attending a session.
People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness.
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
- Fever or chills
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
We will take every participant’s temperature at the beginning of each session, and take a specific participant’s temperature any time there is a concern that participant may have a fever.
We will, upon entering any room, require children and adults to wash hands. We will repeat this throughout the day as necessary. We will encourage the washing of hands for 20 seconds and use paper towels (or single use cloth towels) to dry hands thoroughly. Where soap and water is not available we will provide appropriate strength hand sanitizer.
We will teach and reinforce washing hands and covering coughs and sneezes among children and staff.
Staff & clients will wear a facial covering over their nose and mouth unless specifically exempted from doing so by the Health Officer’s Order for Face Coverings.
Children over the age of 2 should wear cloth face coverings when not actively engaged in physical activity to reduce the risk for transmission if the parent and provider determine they can reliably wear, remove, and handle masks following CDC guidance throughout the day.
Children under 12 are not required to wear cloth face coverings.
Children under 12 wearing a cloth face covering shall always be actively monitored by Personnel.
We will teach and reinforce mandatory use of cloth face coverings among all staff.
We will equip entrances and exits, exercise machines, fitness rooms, changing rooms and locker rooms, and other areas with proper sanitation products, including hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes, and provide personal hand sanitizers to staff who regularly engage with clients.
We require clients to disinfect individual exercise equipment, mats, and machines before and after use with provided disinfecting wipes. We will ensure that lined, non-touch trash receptacles are available throughout the fitness facility to dispose of used wipes.
We will encourage clients to bring their own towels and mats.
We will remove our self-serve water station.
We will place signage throughout the fitness facility emphasizing basic infection prevention measures, including the importance of wearing face coverings and frequent hand-washing.
We will implement measures to ensure physical distancing of at least six feet between and among workers and clients and implement a maximum occupancy rule along with a reservation system.
